GELGANYEM LAW & CULTURE FUND – MEN’S AND WOMEN’S APPLICATION PACKAGES
The Law and Culture Fund (LCF) was created by the Argyle Participation Agreement to provide future generations of Traditional Owners with support to continue the practise of their law and culture. Gelganyem Trust cannot distribute the LCF capital but has the right to distribute 100% of LC interest every year.
The income of the LCF can only be distributed by GL for the purposes of the conduct and promotion of Aboriginal men’s and women’s law and culture.
Law and Culture Fund applications can be submitted year-round.
Applications must include a detailed budget and be submitted to the Community Connections Team prior to Law and Culture meetings.
Separate meetings for the Men’s Law and Culture Fund and the Women’s Law and Culture Fund are held quarterly.
At the Law and Culture meetings, male or female cultural leaders, named in the policies linked below, will consider submissions.
Applicants are welcome to attend meetings for discussion about their applications.
Meeting dates are subject to change depending on circumstance.
Gelganyem will notify TOs of dates closer to time.
